r255 r266 1 1 \chapter{Analysis of Visibility in Polygonal Scenes} 2 2 3 4 5 6 \section{Analysis of 2D line space} 3 This chapter provides analysis of the visibility in polygonal scenes, 4 which are the input for all developed tools. The visibility analysis 5 uncoveres the complexity of the from-region and global visibility 6 problems and thus it especially important for a good design of the 7 global visibility preprocessor. To better undestand the visibility 8 relationships in primal space we use mapping to line space, where the 9 visibility interactions can be observed easily by interactions of sets 10 of points. Additionally for the sake of clarity, we first analyze 11 visibility in 2D and then extend the analysis to 3D polygonal scenes. 12 13 \section{Analysis of visibility in 2D} 7 14 8 15 \label{LINE_SPACE} … … 1017 1024 to handle numerical inaccuracies. 1018 1025 1026 1027 \section{Summary} 1028 1029 In this chapter we discussed the relation of sets of lines in 3D and 1030 the polyhedra in \plucker coordinates. We proposed a general size 1031 measure for a set of lines described by a blocker polyhedron and a 1032 size measure designed for the computation of PVS. 1033
